Item Mass Edit

Learn how to edit Item fields in bulk based on certain criteria.

We recommend when editing Items in ShareMyToolbox to do so on the individual Item level. But we understand there may be cases where it's necessary to edit certain fields across multiple Items. 

Here are some example of when you would need this feature:

• Updating rental rates across many Items by dollar change or percentage change
• Updating the category across many Item records
• Changing values of custom fields on many Item records

Here's how it works

You notice a familiar layout as the Item Mass Edit feature is the same interface as the Actions feature. 

First, using the filter and search functions, you can find all the Items that match the critera you are wanting to change in bulk. 

Next, simply add those items to the Cart using the individual cart+ on each Item, or you can add all Items on that screen using the "Add All" button. 

Then, click "Process" to get the list of available options for your cart. 

Select the fields that you wish to change across all items in your cart, and click Next.

From there simply change the value of the fields and Click "Update Items."
